Lucidia Gratacos ARUS
Lucidia Gratacos Arus came to Fordham Library Center in the 1980's from Puerto Rico, where she had been in charge of the University library. At Fordham Library Center she was Senior Librarian in charge of the Bronx Reference Center where she trained many reference librarians, including Debora Trepp and the late Ismael Alicea. She moved with us to the new building, Bronx Reference Center, where she was Supervising Librarian of the Reference and Spanish language services and collections, 4th floor and Adult Education Information Center, 5th floor. She retired in the summer of 2009. She was always very active in the Spanish book committee, reviewed and selected Spanish books and developed the Spanish book collection at BLC. She will be sorely missed by her many friends.
