Michael CALVANO died on December 29, 2016, at the age of eighty-three. He was a member of the Retirees Association and was a resident of Annapolis, MD, at the time of his death.
Michael was born in New York City. He retired from NYPL on August 8, 1989, as Chief of Photographic Services. He enjoyed gardening and worked at a major horticultural society on Long Island where he lived until relocating to Annapolis in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Calvano, a medical librarian. They met at NYPL in 1956 when Margaret began work at the Science and Technology Division.
