Edward M. DANA
Edward M. Dana, 84 years old passed away on October 25, 2013. His wife, Roberta, said he had been suffering from congestive heart failure and COPD. Ed and Roberta had been married for 49 years. He is also survived by four children and eight grandchildren.
Ed retired from NYPL in September, 1984, after working at the main building in Building and Maintenance Operations for over 20 years. He was working the night shift there when they filmed the movie "Ghostbusters". Roberta, also worked at NYPL in the Accounting Office, where she worked with Mildred Benson, Frances Friscia, and Rose Messer among others
Ed served in the United States Air force, retiring after 38 years. He met his wife while they were both in the Air Force. She was a WAF.
Services were held at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Military graveside services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
