James Francis EGAN died on February 28, 2016, at the age of 74. He was a resident of New York at the time of his death.
Jim was born in New York on March 2, 1941. He was a graduate of Manhattan College High School and Manhattan College. He served for many years as a Library Information Assistant at the Mid-Manhattan Telephone Reference Department. After his retirement in 2002, Jim participated in the Library's ROAR program and continued to work at Telephone Reference until 2008.
Jim is remembered by numerous co-workers for his collegiality and sense of humor. He is survived by his brothers and their families.
