Sally HELLMAN
From Marsha Howard: "I'm so sorry to learn of Sally's passing though considering she had breast cancer so many years ago, she had a long life. As a young librarian, and during the difficult times of the '75 budget crisis when I was shipped to the Bronx and then back to DNA as an Information Assistant, she was very kind to me. During a personal crisis I remember her sitting in the office, holding my hand. She and Honora Santoro ran a no-nonsense library. Very strict! She was a fine administrator and, underneath a sometimes tough exterior was a very good heart. (And she kept those plants alive, walking around with her little watering can!) "
