Mildred (Millie) F. BUGLION

A NYPL retiree, she passed away on February 23, 2013 in Rochester, NY. She was 93 years old. Formerly of NY(Manhattan) she is survived by her brother Paul (Leslie) Buglion, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was employed as a Research Librarian at The New York Public Library. She taught English at Beth Page and Westchester High School as well as Sorbonne in Paris , France. She had a life long passion for literature, music, and the fine arts.


The family wishes to thank the devoted staff at Kirkhaven for their loving care. Donations may be made in her memory to Kirkhaven, 254 Alexander Street, Rochester, NY 14607 or to the Interment in Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, NY. Arr John J. Curran Funeral Home.

The association has some brief career information on Millie when she worked at NYPL. She was Children's Librarian at the 67th St Branch and was a Children's Storyteller while there, until she changed specialties to work in Research. She also worked at Donnell and Mid Manhattan.
