KEVIN WINKLER GIVES A ZOOM TALK ON HIS NEW BOOK, ON BETTE MIDLER

The New York Public Library Retirees Association is pleased to announce a book talk by author and NYPL retiree Kevin Winkler. Kevin will be discussing his new book, On Bette Midler: An Opinionated Guide. Kevin is the award-winning author of several books on the arts. He worked at the Library for the Performing Arts for more than twenty years as a curator, archivist, and administrator, before which he was a professional dancer. His new book “examines Midler’s impact across media, with chapters on the soaring highs (and occasional cringeworthy lows) of her stage work, movies, recordings, and television appearances and considers her influence as an environmental activist and social-media presence.”
