Mary Jane Long WRIGHT
Mary Jane (Long) Wright, sister of retiree Betty Long, and a NYPL Children's Librarian herself in the 1960s, died Sunday, April 6th, 2015, after a few months of hospitalization. Both Mary Jane and Betty came from their native Ohio to work at NYPL, but Mary Jane left to try acting. She worked for many years in the New York Philharmonic office. She remained a fan of the New York City Ballet from the time she got here and enjoyed living nearby at Lincoln Towers. Some of you may remember the December Holiday cookie parties that she and Betty hosted yearly. Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Byron Wright.
